Publix #1149 - Treasure Island, FL

Image
Publix #1149 111 104th Avenue, Treasure Island, FL This Publix opened on August 28, 2008 and is a 2-floor 28M Publix at 28,800 square feet. You may recognize this location because Publix occasionally uses it in various store images. At the parking garage, this set of doors takes us inside Publix. In order to go up to the second floor, you can either take an elevator or a set of stairs. Since this is a 28M Publix, there is no room to put an escalator. After going upstairs, we are greeted with our official welcome into Publix #1149. The crown molding that you see above the welcome sign is a leftover from the Kiwi interior. Since this store has a 2008 opening date, the Kiwi interior used was the sans-serif version with the same Avenir font seen in this welcome sign. After entering through the double doors, we now have a look at aisle 3 and a part of aisle 14. Produce and a part of frozen foods are located in aisle 14, which is also Publix #1149's last grocery aisle. Dairy can be found

Publix #139 & CVS #535 - St. Pete Beach, FL

In this GTB Retail post, we will look at the Tampa Bay Area's oldest operating Publix (and a CVS) in St. Pete Beach, since today is the 56th anniversary of this Publix. Publix #139 4855 Gulf Blvd, St. Pete Beach, FL - Dolphin Village Publix #139 opened on June 29, 1967, and is the only major grocery store in St. Pete Beach after the Winn-Dixie (former Kash n' Karry/Sweetbay) on Blind Pass Road closed in 2018. The rest of the Dolphin Village shopping center with 2 floors was not added until 1984. This Publix was expanded in 1989 from the Wing Store design to a modified 40N layout with the split vestibules. Publix #139 is 33,238 square feet. This and the next 2 photos are courtesy of Yelp. This photo shows the original exterior look of Publix #139. Welcome to Publix #139! Since you can see a mixture of Kiwi and Invigorate interior signage, that's because we are starting off this post of how this store would have looked like before the Bamboo remodel in 2014. Publix #1681 updates

I revisited Publix #1681 (a 48M store with the Evergreen Environment Package), and I saw a couple of new things. The info cards at the doors have been updated into the August 2022 Evergreen version. This picture was taken from store 1808 in Tampa since I do not have the ones from this store. The welcome sign now has the words "Welcome to your Publix" instead of just "Welcome". It's been this way since mid-2020, although I didn't get a picture of it back then. The customer service area has had pickup signage since 2021. New self-checkouts that are similar to store 1808, in addition to a directional sign to the seating area on the second floor. Another view of store 1681's 8 self-checkouts, which includes 3 express lanes. The main section of health/beauty products is on aisles 13 and 14. Any products that do not fit in the main aisles are found in secondary aisles next to the pharmacy. The express lane sign in the regular checkouts remains unchanged. This
