Wendy's - Riverview, FL. (Gibsonton & 301)

Image
Wendy's #8902 10529 Gibsonton Drive, Riverview, FL. Opened in 2002 as a mansard roof style Wendy's restaurant, and was renovated in 2014 to the current design. The placement of the entrance is original from 2002, with some modifications made in 2014. This will also be my final post before summer break starts in late June. Welcome to Wendy's in Riverview! Looking at the interior of a modern Wendy's restaurant. This type of design uses a one way enter/exit system for ordering food, as indicated by that Start Here sign. Here is the primary Wendy's menu, used as a reference. This corridor leads to the restrooms, which again, the placement is original to 2002. Newer Wendy's restaurants have these Coke Freestyle machines. The interface is what I call version 3, used from 2019 to present. An example of one of the drink selection options on the machine. These tables are used for eating your breakfast/lunch/dinner, etc. There is

Publix #663 - Brandon, FL

Image
Publix #663 11255 Causeway Blvd, Brandon, FL - Lake Brandon Plaza This Publix store opened in 1998. Some other tenants in this plaza were CompUSA/Tiger Direct (now Total Wine), JOANN, and Babies "R" Us (now Nordstrom Rack), which also opened in the same year as this Publix. The store model that you are seeing here is a variation of an early 2000's model Publix supermarket for the larger format stores. I call it the mid-range model Publix. Due to an upcoming summer break, this will be the second to last regular post for the month of June. In these larger format 2000's stores, the entrance is facing straight, while the exit doors are at an angle to accommodate the passenger pickup area or a drive-thru pharmacy. The main sets of doors are also at an angle. Welcome to Publix #663! Floral is the first department that you see after entering the store. It's interesting to note that this middle section is split in half due to the placement of floral. Produc

A Modern Winn-Dixie - Tampa, FL (CVS included!)

Image
Kash n' Karry #1748/Sweetbay Supermarket #1748/Winn-Dixie #2433 2100 W. Swann Ave, Tampa, FL Opened in 1992 as Kash n' Karry #1748. After the 2004 buyout of Food Lion and KNK, this store and others across Tampa were converted into the newly established Sweetbay Supermarket. All of their stores kept the location numbers from the Kash n' Karry era. In 2014, this store was converted to a Winn-Dixie and reopened as store #2433. A major remodel occurred around May 2016 and was completed on October 20th of that year, bringing this store into the newer prototypes that was initially seen at store #7 in Jacksonville. The exterior seen here is from the first exterior remodel in 2006 from Sweetbay Supermarket, and is currently painted red. This store lost it's pharmacy during the 2016 remodel. Now this is a first for me: A Winn-Dixie grocery store that offers delivery and catering! You might think that Winn-Dixie stores are stuck in a  time warp , bu
