Michaels (Former Phar-Mor) - Brandon, FL.

Image
Former Phar-Mor/Michaels #9568 2564 W. Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL. - Regency Square Originally opened in 1986 as a Phar-Mor drug store, and closed in 2002. Currently a Michaels Arts and Crafts (store 9568), where it has remained ever since. The exterior is original to Phar-Mor, and is also an example of 1980's architecture. The placement of the entrances is probably original to Phar-Mor, but I am unsure. After entering through the vestibule, you have to make a left turn in order to enter the store. Looking from aisle 68. These photos were taken about 1 month before Christmas in 2017, so you might see references to the holidays. This is an example of an aisle at a Michaels store, I am unsure what the 2 aisle numbers are. The section on the right is home to items on clearance, and the left section is probably home to planners? Cutting tools and sewing is on the left of the middle section. Aisles 62 and 60 are to my right. Se

(All photos courtesy of Random Retail) Winn-Dixie #2247 1260 Palm Coast Pkwy SW, Palm Coast, FL Winn-Dixie #2247 opened in 1994, and is 47,761 square feet in size. Here is the produce department. Before the remodel occurred, the interior would have been in the post bankruptcy look. Aisle 1 is home to the floral department, organic products, and the beer department. Welcome to the Deli Kitchen! Located at the end of aisle 1. Immediately following the deli department is the store's seafood counter. Frozen foods take up aisles 7 and 8 here in store 2247. Lunch meats are located after frozen meats and the restroom corridor. Even the milk section gets it's own signage! It takes two steps to get to the bakery from one end to the other... (Reference to the dual signage seen here) Despite the Winn-Dixie pharmacy closures back in November 2016, this store still has an on-site pharmacy department.
