Jewel-Osco #4103/Albertsons #4404/Publix #1341 500 East Lake Rd S, Palm Harbor, FL - The Shoppes at Boot Ranch Opened in 1990 as Jewel-Osco #4103. Only 2 years later, American Stores sold the Florida locations to Albertsons. Reopened as Albertsons #4404 in 1992. This was one of the 49 Albertsons stores that was sold to Publix in 2008, and Publix #1341 opened on December 10, 2009. Former Publix #236 (June 10, 1982-December 9, 2009) is currently Walmart Neighborhood Market #3414 (opened on September 30, 2015), and is located across the street at 3400 East Lake Rd S, Palm Harbor, FL. Before the Walmart opened, there was Sweetbay Supermarket #1975 (July 16, 2011-February 5, 2013). Jewel-Osco #4101/Albertsons #4402/Safeway #4402/Publix #1663 10500 Ulmerton Rd Suite #800, Largo, FL - Largo Plaza Opened in 1989 as Jewel-Osco #4101. Converted to Albertsons #4402 after American Stores sold all 7 Jewel-Osco's (#4100-#4109) in 1992. After 24 years as Albertsons, on June 15, 2016, this store reopened as Safeway #4402. All 3 Safeway stores (Largo #4402, Altamonte #4304, and Oakland Park #4319) were closed in August 2018 after 2 years in operation. Reopened a second time on November 1, 2018 as Publix #1663 and closed in February 28, 2026 for a complete rebuild. The entire Publix building is shown here.
