Costco #358 & Sprouts #635 - Brandon, FL

Costco #358
10921 Causeway Blvd, Brandon, FL

Opened on November 28, 2000. This Costco is around 143,000 square feet in size.

This is also my first Costco store featured on this blog, and also my first post in almost 6 months!

Costco's pharmacy, which is located in the front left corner of the store. Hearing aids are also located in this section as well.

The dairy department at Costco stores are refrigerated and are not in coolers unlike your typical supermarket.

This Costco has 320 total aisles, which gets 160 total if you count all aisles as single numbered. The only other store that I know of with an aisle count this large is Menards stores found in Midwestern states.

Only aisles 304 to 318 are shown here.

Costco's aisle signage is on the basic side, with no description of what items are on this aisle.

305 is also an area code originally established in 1947 for the entire state of Florida. Now 305 only serves Miami, which is overlaid by area codes 786 and future 645.

Costco stores also feature a food court/cafe near the store's exit. Here, a pepperoni pizza from the Costco Cafe is shown.

Now that we are done with our first Costco, let's head across the street to Sprouts!

Sports Authority #389/Overstock Furniture #18/World of Decor/Sprouts #635
11339 Causeway Blvd, Brandon, FL - Lake Brandon Village

Originally opened as Sports Authority #389 in 1998. Closed in August 2016 after the company's bankruptcy. Overstock Furniture opened in 2017 and lasted until April 2019. Another furniture store called World of Decor opened in July 2019 and closed in mid-2020. Sprouts came in as the most recent tenant and the first organic grocery store in this plaza, opening on September 1, 2021. Sprouts #635 is 23,500 square feet, while Sports Authority was 43,000 square feet.

Note that the address on the Sprouts side of this building was 11335 Causeway Boulevard but was later changed to 11339 following Sprouts' opening.

Your healthy living journey at Sprouts begins here!

This store follows Sprouts' newer store prototype, with the bakery being the first department after entering the store.

Signage for bulk foods, the meat/seafood counters, and beer appear here. The raised ceiling and overhead windows are original from this store's Sports Authority era.

Frozen food signage as viewed from one of the drink aisles. The bottom part of the frozen food sign says "PACKING CO.", which is short for packing company.

In the back left corner, you can find the store's dairy section as well as a corridor that leads into the store's restrooms.

Produce department as viewed from the baby food section. The phone that you see on the bottom left is one of the newer Samsung's from 2021.

While the exterior signage has the updated logo, the logo seen in produce is the one from 2002.

One more look at the Market Corner and bakery section before we end this post.

This sign featuring the store's city and location number is a feature of the newer Sprouts stores.
