Publix #95 (Starkey Road) - Seminole, FL

Publix #95
10801 Starkey Road (Suite 200), Seminole, FL - Bardmoor Promenade

Publix #95 opened on August 1, 1991 as part of an extension of Bardmoor Promenade, which first opened in 1981. Back then, Publix was reusing store numbers in certain locations, with this store being the second location of store 95 since that number is from 1963. New store numbers in 1991 would have been in the 400 range.

This Publix was built with a store model known by several newspapers (and possibly Publix themselves) as a flagship store or a 65N by the Sing Oil Blog.

There is also Starbucks #10021 in this plaza that opened in 2017 on the site of a Publix PIX gas station that closed in 2013.

This store model was the first to debut the dual side entrance design, a feature that was later adopted in the 47N and 55N stores.

Heading inside and turning right, we find the Publix Deli. There is no dining area due to the presence of a liquor store.

The Publix Bakery, complete with wall tile from the Bamboo interior that was left untouched after the store's Sienna remodel in 2016.

Aisle 1 has drinks and juices, with the meat department straight ahead.

A close-up look at the meat service window from the end of the first aisle.

Here's the rear end of the store with groceries on the left hand side. The seafood, dairy, and produce departments can be seen to the right.

The entire length of aisle 8 has frozen foods. You can also see the large window at the front, which is a distinctive feature of these flagship model Publix stores.

Another feature of these Publix stores is the high ceilings over the front end with an embedded skylight.

Aisle 15 has candies and is also home to the produce and wine departments. This is also not the last aisle in Publix #95 since there are 3 remaining aisles that will be seen later on in this post.

Since this is an earlier flagship/65N store, wine is located on this aisle. In later stores such as #536, wine is part of aisle 1.

Another look at the produce department.

Floral is in this large area past unmarked aisle 18, where the flooring changes from terrazzo to gray tile.

Aisle 17 is the last marked aisle. A part of the pharmacy and health/beauty sections can be seen.

The pharmacy in Publix #95, which would have featured a Little Clinic until 2011.

This store has 11 checkouts, with the last 3 lanes being express. If I am correct, the area to the right after the sign for checkout 2 was formerly a Bank of America.

This variant of the Sienna aisle sign with the number in the Myriad Pro font was first used in late 2015, since store 1506 (opened December 10, 2015) has the same aisle signage. In addition, that year is when the Circle P logo was introduced in interior signage, replacing the Granny Smith apple from prior versions of Sienna.

Thank you for shopping at Publix, but the tour isn't over yet!
