Publix #1441 - Tampa, FL
Publix #1441
13178 N. Dale Mabry Hwy, Tampa, FL - The Village Center
Opened on February 6, 2014 as Publix #1441 and is a 50,138 square-foot store.
This is the former site of Publix #224, which existed from September 30, 1980 until early 2013.
Ready to see one of the most modern Publix stores in all of Carrollwood?
Welcome to Publix #1441, still with the Sienna interior even into 2021...
Publix #1441's layout is the 49M, with the bakery shown here. 49M stores have two curved areas in the bakery whereas the 39M, 45M, and 54M and up only have one curved area.
Another similar Publix with this store's layout can be found here.
This picture shows you how big the produce aisle is. The grand aisle also consists of the deli and bakery departments.
This Publix even has a seating area, a feature that wasn't present in store 224.
We have now entered the Publix Deli, where you can get the Pub Sub or other prepackaged deli items.
Stores with this 49M layout as well as the 56M have their own specialty cheese counters. Store layouts 45M and below as well as the 54M have their cheese sections located in grab and go products.
One more look at produce before we look at the rest of the store...
Publix's meat and seafood counters, which the shape surrounding the seafood sign reminds me of a Bamboo-era Publix.
Aisle 2, which is home to soups and canned products. Due to the placement of produce, the previous aisle (aisle 1) only runs three-quarters length compared to aisles 2 and above.
Publix Catering (formerly Aprons Event Planning until 2020), which is the only source of the newer Evergreen interior in store 1441.
Publix recently added an in-store pickup section under that apple Publix sign.
The first aisle of frozen products (frozen foods) can be found on aisle 7.
Aisles 8 to 13, looking towards the dairy portion of the store.
Some grocery aisles of Publix's 49M and 54M/56M model stores have a drop ceiling like this one (Aisle 10), while the rest of the store has an open, warehouse-style ceiling.
Publix's pharmacy in store 1441, with the overhead signs turned off.
Aisle 13 is the final aisle here, with a mix of dairy and dry groceries located on this aisle.
A close-up image of the Sienna aisle and pharmacy signs, used by Publix for 10 years until 2021 for new stores and remodeled ones.
The grocery aisles are to my left as we are about to approach the front end...
Publix #1441 has 8 regular checkouts and only 1 express lane.
This is my second Publix to only feature one express checkout, since Publix #1088 in Oldsmar also had the same amount of checkouts as this store (8 regular, 1 express).
And finally, a look at what used to be the old Village Center Publix until 2013.
