Publix #834
16560 N Nebraska Ave, Lutz, FL - Apex

Opened in 2003 as one of the last Publix superstores to be built with the 1998-2004 Metallic Marketplace decor.

Publix stores like this one have two entrances. A food and a pharmacy entrance. This is the store's food entrance, which is labeled DELI • BAKERY.

Metallic Marketplace decor remnants on the entrance door. What is also 2003 original is the address number.

Looking at the second entrance door, we can see the Bamboo interior! This version of the decor was used from 2011-2013. You can also see Christmas-themed items on the store shelves. (These photos were taken on December 2016 to be exact)

An example of a later variation of a Bamboo aisle marker. Publix removed the circular number and placing a background on the aisle sign. Currently, this store has the Sienna decor.

Aisle 6 is home to cereal, syrups, coffee/tea, and canned (evaporated) milk.

An example of what was left behind was this Publix photo collage! This was used from 2008-2013, and was first used on the Invigorate decor, this was later removed in Sienna.

Aisle signage, along with a view towards the health and beauty department.

The store's express lanes, which use a variation of the Express, 10 items or fewer signs.

Checkout 9, with a thank you sign placed in the middle of the two exit doors.

A variation of the Metallic Marketplace exit sign, which says Exit Only.

Stores built between 2002 and 2004, and again in the current model, have drive-thru pharmacies.

Our final photo of Publix #834 is the store's main entrance, with the words PHARMACY DRIVE THRU above the entrance doors.

Comments

  1. I've never seen the "fake" aisle numbers attached to the older aisle markers before! I hate to say it, but those look pretty bad, in my opinion... very un-Publix-like.
