Publix #627 - Tampa, FL (Westchase)
Let's take a trip down Linebaugh Avenue to the only Publix in the Westchase area!
Publix #627
12139 West Linebaugh Avenue, Tampa, FL
Publix #627 opened on March 12, 1998.
The outside was given a repaint in 2018 which resulted in the removal of the DELI and BAKERY signs outside the store to make room for a BayCare sign.
Publix, don't go towards the light! This rainy day resulted in the windows being covered with mist. Also note the duct tape placed around the Presto ATM camera.
Welcome to Publix #627! But before we enter the store, I have one more thing to show you related to 1998...
The word ENTRANCE in the Gill Sans Condensed Extra Bold font!
In the 2019 Sienna refresh, Publix removed the Hallmark greeting cards section and replaced it with Deli Grab and Go and an event planning station. Hallmark cards were moved to aisle 12.
A part of the dining area received minor updating (tables and windows)
Poduce is placed along the grand aisle, separate from the deli and bakery.
The curved arch is a replacement for a flat version from the 2009 remodel to the 2019 refresh, although painted blue for the Sienna interior. Sienna is the real name for Classy Market 3.0.
The Publix Aprons counter recieved updating during the 2019 refresh to add the new logo.
The meat service window, along with ready to cook meats and prepackaged items.
Deluxe Seafood Counter! This was also updated after the 2019 refresh of this Publix.
I have this photo to show you that aisle 1 runs very short due to the placement of the pharmacy.
Included in the 2019 updates is the pharmacy counter. A BayCare walk in clinic was added replacing the pickup counter. The pharmacy also runs along aisle 2.
Aisle signage for aisle 2 in the store.
Main dairy department signage as seen from one of the middle aisles.
This aisle consists of a mix of grocery and the service departments, along with dairy.
Aisles 7 to 16 are to the left of this image.
Looking down aisle 12, we can see soft drinks and greeting cards.
For the owner of Retail Retell, here is an Aisle 12 picture, with a light fixture shining on the number!
The store's wine department, where you can get various bottles of wine and beer, but not full liquor and spirits.
Aisle 15 begins the frozen foods section in Publix #627. Frozen foods continue until aisle 16.
Another dairy department sign, as seen from the end of aisle 15.
Aisle 16, along with frozen foods signage. Aisle 16 is also the last aisle in the store.
Another example of a Publix aisle sign, this time it's for aisle 16.
Publix #627's 11 checkouts, but only lanes 2 to 11 are shown.
Thank you for shopping at Publix #627, but we have not fully left the store yet! Also, the letter S in shopping is backwards.
These restrooms don't lead you to an outside exit!
Customer service department and the desks. This is seen before you exit the store.
One of the inside Publix exit doors, complete with an EXIT decal.
Now let's go towards the light and exit Publix!
This is the drop off and pickup parking area a seen in these 2000's mid-range Publix's. Other stores would have a drive thru pharmacy replacing this section.

Ha, thanks for the shout-out! Also, you can definitely see what you said about the greeting cards being relocated in that picture. The Aisle 12 placard for greeting cards is still its fresh new color of green, whereas all the other placards have faded in color due to the proximity of that light fixture.
