Remodeled Aldi! - Brandon, FL

Former Winn-Dixie #615/Aldi & HomeGoods #421
1945 West Lumsden Road, Brandon, FL - Brandon Centre South

Opened in the late 1990's as Winn-Dixie #615. Closed in 2005 when this store was one of the 257 affected by Winn-Dixie's bankruptcy. Later subdivided into an Aldi store and a HomeGoods, which opened in 2009.

Aldi in Brandon was remodeled 1 month ago, even though that the now open signs are still in place. Also, this is the new Aldi design used for new and remodeled locations only.

Aldi uses a German-style quarter system for all of the shopping carts with the Aldi logo.

After the Aldi was remodeled, the entrance was reconfigured. The two outside doors were converted to one, and what are now windows used to be the entrance into the store before it was moved off to the right.

Let's enter Aldi's and see what a newly renovated store looks like!

Welcome to your Brandon Aldi! This style of welcome signs replaces the previous one.

I also looked at an Aldi in Bloomington, Indiana while searching for grocery stores located near Indianapolis. That was from a Google map.

Aldi Fresh is the name of the produce department located along aisle 1.

A look down aisle 2, approaching the store map.

Here is a store map of this particular Aldi location for reference. This store has a total of 12 aisles, with all of the aisles being counted as one.

Dairy is located to the left of that store map that I showed you earlier.

Aisles 10 and 12, signed as aisles 5 and 6 on the store's map.

Say hello to fresh (pork) at your local Aldi store!

Aisle 6 (or aisles 11 and 12).

This Aldi has 6 total checkouts, and only one was open on this day!

Looking down the opposite side of aisle 6.

This video shows a typical Aldi checkout system, and how Aldi only operates one checkout, and is not like Publix.

One of the store's thank you signs, which now match the Aldi color of blue.

We now conclude the Aldi portion of the store, but I have one more photo that is related to the plaza...

This Village Inn and all other tenants are still in a shape of the Winn-Dixie that was once here!

Our final photo of the Aldi (and the entire plaza) is the road sign facing Lumsden Road. The road sign is also in the shape of a Winn-Dixie store.
