Winn-Dixie #2503 - Wesley Chapel, FL

Kash n' Karry #1916/Sweetbay #1916/Winn-Dixie #2503
27301 State Road 54, Wesley Chapel, FL - Towne Centre at Wesley Chapel

Opened in 2000 as Kash n' Karry #1916, and converted to Sweetbay Supermarket in 2005. Reopened on April 8, 2014 as Winn-Dixie #2503.

This is one of Kash n' Karry's round front prototype stores. The inside featured 35-foot tall ceilings and a circular layout not seen in any other Kash n' Karry store.

If you look closely at the red paint, you can see a Kash n' Karry labelscar, which includes a part of the logo and the words FOOD - DELI - PHARMACY.

Let's enter the store and see what a round Kash n' Karry/Sweetbay/Winn-Dixie really is!

Welcome to your Wesley Chapel Winn-Dixie! This is one of two welcome signs in the store, the other one is similar except with imagery.

Like I said earlier, the deli, bakery, and cheese departments are all formed in the shape of a circle, making for a rather odd layout inside this Winn-Dixie.

This photo clearly shows the high ceilings and the windows, along with the deli and the checkouts. Signs for customer service, pharmacy, and the beauty department are also visible.

Kash n' Karry must have put in a lot of sales floor space at this store! There are 18 aisles, and there are 9 total checkouts. Also includes those windows running near the top of the ceiling, which is original from Kash n' Karry.

Signage for the kitchen section of the deli department. This used to say Neighborhood Deli back during the Sweetbay days in 2005 and Winn-Dixie until 2019.

Signage for the store's produce department.

This is aisles 5 to 2, also known as Aisle Countdown. The Kash n' Karry windows can be seen up top.

Aisle 1 is home to organic products and water.

This aisle is split between groceries, seafood, meats, and milk.

Aisles 14 and 15 are dedicated to wine and beer. All other liquor products can be found in the Winn-Dixie liquor store next door.

Now approaching the milk section of the dairy department, we can see the transition from packaged meats to dairy.

Aisle 16 is the first aisle in the frozen foods department.

Winn-Dixie's newly updated pharmacy counter, along with overhead signage for the specific department.

Frozen foods continue along aisle 17.

Aisle 18 is the last aisle in frozen foods and the entire store.

Another aisle, this time it runs along the entire length of the deli and bakery, along with groceries. Kash n' Karry's windows are also visible.

The front end of this Winn-Dixie store. There are a total of 9 checkouts, which includes the two express lanes. I think that all of those windows here in this Winn-Dixie make this store feel like a 1990's Publix, as seen here.

Thank you for shopping at your Wesley Chapel Winn-Dixie! This thank you sign cannot be mounted directly along the glass entryway, so Winn-Dixie went creative and mounted it before customer service.

Winn-Dixie #2503's exit door. Before Winn-Dixie did a remodel, this door and the other one were all entrance doors.

In order to access the liquor store, you have to walk down a hallway directly to the liquor store’s entrance, located where it says 27303.

Our final photo of this store is Winn-Dixie's road sign, facing Wesley Chapel Blvd.

  1. This store has always intrigued me, as I believe it's the last round prototype Kash n' Karry still operating as a supermarket. Very neat!
