Publix #532 and Clayton Plaza - Brandon, FL.
Publix #532
939 W. Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL - Brandon Mall
This Publix store opened in 1995 to replace an older wing store at Clayton Plaza (Brandon and Kings), and is your typical early 1990's Publix store, similar to store 537 in Gainesville.
With Walmart Week out of the way, it's time to transition to Florida's largest supermarket chain... Publix!
When this store opened, the interior would have been Wavy Pastels from 1995 to 2005. After 2005 came the Kiwi interior, then to Bamboo in 2012, and now the Sienna interior in 2016!
Welcome to Publix store #532!
With the deli department being in a curved position, this is a prime example of an early 1990's Publix store.
Looking towards the produce department and aisle 14.
This is the health/beauty aisles. Notice that there is no pharmacy, if there was one then the counters would be straight ahead.
The location of floral is placed near the front end of aisle 14 in these 1990's Publix stores.
The modern Publix checkout registers, with a total count of 7 lanes. There would have been 14 to 18 registers back in 1995. Publix removed the extra checkouts to make way for promotional items.
The light fixture is a relic to the Wavy Pastel interior from 1995. Interestingly enough, the spotlights on the sides have been replaced into an LED light fixture.
Thank you for shopping at Publix #532, but there are some more pictures straight ahead!
Clayton Plaza
459-621 W. Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL
Clayton Plaza opened in 1964, which included a Publix market, along with some other tenants.
Now to the former Publix in this plaza...

This Publix store pictured here opened in 1964 as a Wing Store Publix and closed in 1995 when store 532 opened. Currently a Badcock furniture store, which opened in the 2000's.
What the former Publix space looks like nowadays. The entire plaza was redone, and the Wing Store façade was removed.
Because we are within close proximity to the former Publix, let's see what is in the Office Depot store!
This is Office Depot #2705, which was remodeled in 2017 into one of their newer prototypes.
Let's enter through these doors to see what a new Office Depot store really is!
Immediately to the right of the store after you enter, is the printing section.
Office Depot's first marked aisle.
We just entered through those dual automatic doors which is for entering only. The main exit includes an anti-theft system.
Signage for aisles 3 to 11.
A close-up of Office Depot's newer aisle signage, this one is for aisle 3.
The center of the aisles is separated by a Microsoft computer section. There are about 21 aisles in this Office Depot store.
The section of paper products are on aisles 6 and 7 as indicated by the overhead signs.
I cannot confirm what this section is, looks like some sort of mail-in service or customer service desk...
If you need to buy a Microsoft computer, look for the blue signs!
Another Office Depot aisle sign, this one is for aisle 9.
Office Depot even sells basic cash registers?
Looking towards the last aisle before the furniture section begins, this is aisle 11.
If you thought that Office Depot just sold office supplies and accessories, they even sell furniture!
Looking towards the front end of Office Depot's checkouts. There are about 4 registers here.

From Walmart, to two Publix stores, and a futuristic Office Depot, there are a lot of things that can happen (such as Publix 1068 with an AISLE 0) only in Florida!
Wow, I really like the look of that Office Depot!
