Walmart Week, Part 3 - Supercenter #3526 - Brooksville, FL

In the third part of Walmart Week, we're going to look at a Super Walmart that is in Hernando County, Florida. The city is Brooksville.

Walmart #3526
7305 Broad Street, Brooksville, FL.

This Walmart store has a size of 153,129 square feet, and opened in 2002.

Because this store has a 2002 opening date, it's original interior would have been Futura 1.0 from 2002 to circa 2010. A remodel in 2017 updated the interior to Black Decor 2.1.

Now entering through the Home & Pharmacy side of the store. This entrance would have said Low Prices from the Futura era.

The entire pharmacy was renovated in 2017 after the remodel was complete. Consultation is located in a separate area from health services.

Signage for the store’s garden center, facing towards the east.

Now for a comparison of Black 1.0 to 2.2:

BD 1.0: Introduced in 2003, and features square and oval shaped signage. Retains the Always logo for remodels and new store openings, and was used until 2007. The logo used is the 1992 version (the one with the star in the middle)

BD 2.0: After 9 years of hiatus from the previous version, 2015 marked a new era of Black Decor. All of the signage was updated, and now consists of flat signs with pictures around a border. There is an early version of Black 2.0 that does not have a white border around the overhead signs, which is seen at store 3463.

BD 2.1: A minor update to Black 2.0, which consists of the corresponding colors for various departments being updated into Walmart Blue with a colored spark. Introduced in late 2016 or early 2017, which is the interior shown in the picture above.

BD 2.2: Black 2.2 introduces the new corporate font used by Walmart in a bolder version and removes all images from the wall signage, while the overhead signs retain the images.

Aisles 32 and 33 in the garden center.

Gatorade drinks and cosmetics! Note that health/beauty is separate from the actual pharmacy.

Women's clothing is visible to my right, while grocery is straight ahead and the checkouts are to the left. In the 2017 remodel, order pickup got moved from the back to the front. The new pickup area consists of a kiosk.

Compared to other Impact 1.0 remodels, Walmart replaced every single checkout in the store as indicated by this newer sign. Usually, Walmart would keep the Black 1.0 style signage for the checkouts for the Impact remodels.

Checkouts 10 to 13. The express lanes are 1 to 2, lane 9, and 12 to 13.

Thank you for shopping at your Brooksville Walmart!
