Walmart #3463
1208 East State Road 60, Brandon, FL.

This Walmart store opened in 2002, and is about 232,670 square feet. On April 13, 2015, this Walmart closed for plumbing repairs. 7 months later on November 13, 2015, Walmart #3463 reopened after a 4,000 square foot liquor store addition and interior remodeling.

In this photo, the "& Pharmacy" part of the word Home & Pharmacy was removed, just saying the word Home. Note the Temporarily Closed banner to the right of the Walmart logo.

A closing notice from Walmart about the maintenance and upgrades being done to this store. 5 out of the 6 Walmart locations listed here are still open, although store 941 relocated to a Supercenter in Lithia. The former Walmart space is currently Publix #1681.

Exterior close-up of store 3463. These photos were taken on June 7, 2015, about 2 months after this Walmart store closed.

This empty space is currently a Walmart liquor store, which opened on November 13, 2015 along with the remodeled store.

Now to 2017...

The Project Impact colors from the 2012 remodel are still here in store 3463's exterior, after the 2015 remodel.

Let's step inside for version 1 of Black Decor 2.0 through the grocery entrance!

This large welcome sign with Walmart spark logos greets us after we enter through groceries.

I think that the Subway restaurant was later added or is original to the store's 2002 opening.

Layaway is back in 2017 from September to December!

You can tell about how long that I have been hanging on to these pictures for!

And now for a look at the store map of Walmart #3463!

The layout here is exactly the same as the Brooksville store featured in the last part.

Looking at the cleaning supplies aisle, with dairy in the background.

Looking towards the front of the store facing groceries, with aisles 19 to 3 on my right.

Crafts and sewing is only found in Super Walmart stores like this one.

One of the other aisles in the store. This is probably the Celebrations section.

The pharmacy department is located to the right of the store after you enter through the home & pharmacy entrance. The "FLU SHOT EXPRESS" sign is a remnant of the Futura 1.0 interior, used from this store's opening until 2012.

The Garden Center is on clearance! As you can tell by the Times New Roman font to the right of the Walmart logo, this sign must have been printed using Microsoft Word.

And now for a look at the clearance aisles. All of the prices in this section range from $5 to $30.

Cosmetics is a part of the pharmacy and health/beauty, and is located to the right of the clearance aisles featured in the above photo.

A mix of Black Decor 2.0 V1 and V2! Version 1 consists of no white border around the edges of the sign, while Version 2 has the white border. The icons are separated with a circle.

In 2019, Walmart updated the west side self checkouts to their current design and added extra self checkouts to the east side. The current checkout count is 14, excluding the self lanes. This picture was taken in 2017, showing the final 11 checkouts (total count was 30)

An example of a newer style Walmart checkout lane.

During the 2015 remodel, Walmart replaced all of the original checkouts and added newer ones. The original design was from this store's 2002 opening.

Black Decor 2.0 Vision Center! The 29, 49, and 79 to the right represents the actual prices, not the total number of items in the vision center.

I cannot confirm what was behind this blank space from 2002 to 2015. There is currently a thank you sign located here.

The west side self checkouts in store 3463. There are a total of 8 self checkouts in this part of the store.

Thank you for reading this post about Walmart #3463!

  1. These "plumbing issues" closures always struck me as shifty. Glad the store ultimately reopened, but still... very strange.

I like the use of the thank you sign along the front end where the empty space is.
